Movie 'The Great Flood' 2025 reviews

Hello—today’s movie I’m introducing is the hot new Netflix film 'The Great Flood'πŸ’§

It feels like a disaster movie, but it’s also a mishmash genre mixed with sci-fi—an ambiguous and difficult film ^^

2025.12.26 I confirmed that it ranked No. 1 worldwide on Netflix for 6 days,  and recently film critic Heo Ji-yong and

film translator Hwang Seok-hee, these two people, talked about various things regarding the “Great Flood situation,”

stirring up controversy, and it’s the hottest work that’s becoming a major topic.

Relatively, there’s a ton of πŸ‘Ώ harsh criticism being poured out right now, but I liked it in my own way.

The yardstick of what Mr. Heo Ji-hong said is: "We’re being too cruel to content.

If we watch just a little and what we want doesn’t come out—or if there’s no dopamine or adrenaline—

we immediately start cursing first. Isn’t this kind of wrong?"—

he also wrote down that concern." And film translator Hwang Seok-hee says something in the same vein.

Because of the “immature little kid” setting, it was a bit annoying... but that’s the nature of a kid. Beyond that typical kid archetype,

I actually really liked it, andthe actor named Kwon Eun-sung, although he appears from an omniscient reader viewpoint, still, in his own way,

he did a verykid-like performance well, I think.

And why does Park Hae-soo show up so much on Netflix? πŸ’¦Feels like he’s an employee......

While watching the movie, I’m like: yep—ah, this scene will definitely come back later.

This is some kind of message. And then later it shows up exactly. See? It comes out here. That’s right—

the fun of guessing it. The fun of guessing is good. In some scene, suddenly it’s silent—there’s no sound.

But they have a conversation. What is this? This will definitely be explained later. And then later it shows up exactly. Ah—

So that’s what it meant. Anyway, if you find this kind of thing fun, I recommend you watch the movie The Great Flood and think about it at least once.
