Art teacher Yoon-su, right after what seems like a perfect wedding, is struck by a horrifying tragedy: her husband is murdered in his studio with a sculpting knife plunged into his neck. As the only witness at the scene, she draws suspicion for her unnervingly calm demeanor during the investigation. Her past—down to her time in an orphanage—comes to light, and she is ultimately arrested on suspicion of killing her husband.
In prison, Yoon-su meets a mysterious woman named Mo-eun. Mo-eun offers to confess to the murder in Yoon-su’s place— but only in exchange for a dangerous deal. The case then spirals into a new phase, tangled in desire and lies.

The real culprit was Choi Su-yeon, the lawyer’s wife who had been hiding behind her husband’s fabricated alibi. The person who directly killed the husband was the attorney Jin Young-in, revealed to be an “elite psychopath” who manipulated the case to protect his own reputation. In the end, the price of confession was a brutal sacrifice required to face the truth.
